I see Steele on MSNBC, and just the way he is tonight I sense he is really fed up with what the

republican party has become. His defense of the republicans is minimal,at best,

Perhaps he is getting to the point that he is tired of the overt racism within the republican party

I like Steele too. He seems like a pretty honest broker who has trouble spewing the GOP bs lines

Yeah, Steele is about ready to lose it.

He could have a great political career if he was with the right political party.

I'm not sure either could announce a switch of parties or that they are voting Obama. Reason is the same as why some black and Latinos join the GOP. Since there are so few, they can shoot to the top quickly. MSNBC needs a "Colmes" to balance out the rest. A couple of republicans so they can say they have republicans on their shows. But they couldn't stand a crazy republican who would shout above everyone and take over the show.

Schmidt and Steele are perfect for MSNBC. I suppose Fox said the same thing about Colmes.

He seems more relaxed and himself. I like him more than I used to.

He's still repub and won't change that, IMO, but I do think he really wants his party to be more inclusive.
