It would very nice if it was, but I doubt it.
I think it's more along the lines of Needy Amin bullyragging Senate Republicans and making sure their restraints and harnesses are still securely buckled in as the Trump Train plunges into Corruption Ravine. |

Unless he has dirt on them, I can't think of anything he could promise in exchange.
I think it's more likely these are the only tools left that would actually show up. I do wish that I could be a server at that lunch, though. That's a comedy troupe of GOP. Just a bunch of really sad clowns. |

Cash and fabulous prizes? With Trump, it'll probably be a combination of attempted bribes and the threat of turning his rabid, toothless base against them. He'll first want to know how they would vote in a trial, then ask them "what it would take" for them to support him if they're wavering. If they aren't forthcoming in their support, he'll give them the old "it'd be a shame if something happened to your political career". |
