Why are billionaires freaking out over possibility of higher taxes and not just taking advice...

That poor people hear about... deal with... all the time in response to their poverty?

"Why not just get a second job"
"You should just crowdfund your medical bills"
"Just be OK with living with less"
"Just cut your spending"
"Just learn how to be thrifty"
"Just put money into envelopes for things you want and if the envelope isn't full then you can't have it right now"
"Just be better at saving your money"
"Just maybe cut back on the avocado toast or getting that new iPhone"

Weird how billionaires don't want the same non-solutions to poverty that poor people are expected to live by, right?

1. Maybe because when it's clear the world didn't end because they had to pay their fair share,

we might realize they can afford to pay off their debt. I'm convinced the hole we're in is entirely because of the tax cuts and looting we've had for the last 40 years.

10. I tend to agree with that

fact is, they are scared that someone might take a single coin from their hoard.

4. Anyone recall top tax rate paid when Clinton raised taxes in 93?

Why not go back to that and quit the bellyaching.

6. They mostly don't care about income taxes.

It is a wealth tax that has them scared.

8. If you pay workers too much, they won't work. If management doesn't get enough, they won't produce.
