We won't know until after all the screaming is over--if then. To all the Repukes who are saying it's all made up--if you could impeach a president over a made up conspiracy theory, the repukes would have done it to a Democratic president already.

Whenever he wants. All he has to do is show up.

He may be upset with DT and how he is as President but at the end of the day Bolton is no fan of Democracy and is very much in favor of a Unitary Executive. During Bush Jrs admin Bolton said if the U.N. tower lost 10 floors it wouldn’t make a bit of difference so IMO it is not good.

She talked about conversations with Bolton. Like any intelligent person would, he understands that he cannot get away with lying. Too many people know what he knows. More importantly, testimony from multiple sources has shown that he, like Fiona Hill and others, was genuinely disturbed by the situation surrounding Ukraine. Conceptually, the selling of US foreign policy for the personal and political benefit of Trump really seemed to have set him off. Plus, we all know of quite a few personal reasons that might cause Bolton to hold a grudge against Trump.

Given Bolton's exceptionally strong and very well known far right bona fides, which would inoculate him from Trump/far right attacks, if he doesn't lie, his honest testimony would be very devastating to Trump.

And to do that he needs to play it a little carefully so he's credible to Trump's base. He's really the only one who could potentially reach those people and free the senate to act.

I also think the thing with wanting a judge dates from before the house vote and may not even apply anymore if they just subpoena him now.

I think it's possible he's Anonymous.

I never liked the guy, hate his policy, but I certainly believe he wants Trump gone, if for no other reason than the obvious risks to national security he poses.

All the other witnesses have been deposed during the closed hearings, their public testimony will be the same, but in public. No one yet knows what Bolton is likely to say when he gets in front of the cameras, so Schiff is reluctant to take the risk of calling Bolton as a witness.

are in discussions with Schiff about giving a closed door deposition. I think Bolton definitekly wants to testify. His atty first tried the court route using Kupperman as a stalking horse, then he trolled for a subpoena, but none was forthcoming. I think this has kind of boxed Bolton in as far as options go if he wants to be heard or relevent.

Remember, Bolton's a Russia hawk, too. He knows better than this Ukrainian conspiracy theory the Trumpers are pushing.
