1. None of the charities listed in the last paragraph will see a dime of Trump's money.

That's how he rolls. He's done it before - offering or promising a large donation that never materializes. Somehow Fat Nixon manages to be both evil and pathetic.

9. the donations sometimes do materialize

but you're correct, not a dime of donnie's money.

his m.o. is to get other people to make charitable donations and then to take credit for it.

35. OMG I literally thought the same thing after reading the OP and then seeing your post

literally "they will see not one dime".

(his continual non-payments for promises and using the foundation as a slush fund, is why this whole investigation started in the first place)

2. "In her decision filed Thursday, Justice Saliann Scarpulla found that

'Mr. Trump breached his fiduciary duty to the Foundation,' including by "allowing his campaign to orchestrate" a televised fundraiser ostensibly for the foundation in Des Moines, Iowa, in January 2016, and allowing the campaign to direct the distribution of the money raised from that event 'to further Mr. Trump's political campaign' ..."

Now Donald Trump is basically calling the judge a liar. Is that correct?

4. Yeah, that's why the judge made you sign to acknowledge all of the illegal money usage.

.

Why did you sign something that wasn't true? You're a 'billionaire' who could afford 'the best' legal talent.

You sound like someone who was forced to plead guilty because they were poor and could not afford to fight false changes.

7. He's discovered that as long as he fires back a constant stream of lies

...in response to any scandal or corruption, regardless of how transparent the lies are and how readily available the truth is, 40% of the country is so desperate to believe his bullshit that they will just accept any counter-narrative. That's his unique skill, having the sheer balls and lack of of intellectual honesty to just lie to everyone's face as the truth is staring at them again and again.

10. Except that Nixon was probably not lying about the coat.

In 2013, then-Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi announced she wouldn't bring criminal or civil charges against Trump University, the online for-profit so-called college Donald Trump founded that did not actually offer university courses and was long accused of being a scam designed to defraud vulnerable people looking to get ahead. Bondi made that decision immediately after the Trump Foundation donated $25,000 toward her reelection bid.

Now Trump is putting Bondi in the White House. The Wall Street Journal this afternoon reported the president is hiring two new staff members to assist with public relations and legal strategies to stave off his possible impeachment. One of those two people is supposedly Bondi. https://www.miaminewtimes.com/news/reports-say-pam-bondi-former-florida-attorney-general-will-work-for-trump-white-house-11312711[link:http://|

13. Yes...I wasn't alluding to honesty or dishonesty on that one...

...it was the shock of the way he put it, a very defensive stance and not something you expect from someone in that position of power. When Nixon said "simple cloth coat," it wasn't about the coat. It was about defensiveness with a little trace of "up yours," and Trump's entire ghost-written rant is all about that, just like everything else he tweets.

and they will back him when he tells them we are the enemy and we have to go.

I dont think most of them will want to start shooting so I suspect that is where Putin and the Russian military comes in, somehow.

Time will tell. But if anyone thinks tax returns are being turned over, they arent...if anyone thinks election day will go off without a hitch, it wont...and I worry about those who do the right thing and blow the whistle or whatever, I dont want them to be "Epsteined"

The idea that we have accepted he killed himself for FUCK SAKE...

That the dems in POWER have STILL not seen the Mueller report, only the part Barr wants them to see...sigh

He made about $75-100 million dollars off his "university".

He was fined $25 million dollars and had to shut it down.

He still came out many millions ahead.

He made $150 million. Scammed 5000 people out of $35000 each. All they got was a worthless piece of paper.

$25 million invested for a $175 million return.

trying to make Trump sound rational though aggrieved. The lies all the way through it are a symptom of how both Trump and his circle are irredeemable.

who actually believes he's the only person in history to have done something.

Is he the biggest liar in history? The biggest cheat? The biggest asshole? He's high on the list, certainly. But the truth is he's never been the biggest or the best at anything. He's not even the biggest loser. He's just an average, run-of-the-mill piece of shit who cheated his way into the Oval Office, an aberration that will be corrected one way or another.

The 2 million dollar fine that settled the case, the judge ordered that money to be given to charity. Trump didn't have a choice, he was required by law to donate that 2 million dollars.

44. I don't understand why the judge was so lenient.

In her decision, however, the judge didn't impose one of the outcomes the attorney general's office sought: a ban on Trump and his children serving on the board of any other New York nonprofit. She also declined to order Trump to pay punitive damages.

Why not bar them from being able to pull this nonprofit scam again in NY? Why not levy punitive damages? I am glad for what they will have to cough up for charity, but honestly? It's a slap on the wrist; a minor embarrassment and little more. *sigh*
