Melania loves Trump?

Word on the street is that on Tuesday, at a private fundraising event for top Republican fundraisers, Donald Trump went a little rogue.

At first he was just reminiscing, thinking about that time the Louisana Republican Steve Scalise got shot – as you do. But then he came out with this gem of a line: “[Scalise’s wife’] cried her eyes out when I met her at the hospital that fateful day … I mean not many wives would react that way to tragedy, I know mine wouldn’t.”

We can only guess that Trump said this in jest, of course. But that line can be read in so many ways that soon, it was an online talking point for people eager to share their views on his and Melania’s relationship. Maybe he is saying Melania Trump hates him so much she wouldn’t even cry at his funeral. Maybe he’s saying that after all the strain that their marriage has gone through, she has no more tears left to give? Maybe he was genuinely being funny. Who knows?

Of course, this is not the first time the presidential couple and their relationship invited speculation. Here are others: Love moves in mysterious ways. But you know what moves more mysteriously? The first lady’s hands. In short, she repeatedly appears to refuse to hold her husband’s hand in public.

(snip)

When Trump got his big moment on the Jumbotron at the World Series this week, the timing couldn’t have been worse. Hearing the crowd chant “lock him up!”, he went from an ear-to-ear grin to a scowl. His better half, strangely, went from cat-like-grin, to serious face, back to cat-like grin in a matter of seconds. Like someone trying to put on a very serious face whilst trying not to burst out laughing.

8. No kidding.

Just today, I read something about tRump's Greenland boondoggle. It seemed ancient and unbelievable at the same time.

I know I can't keep up.

2. Reminds me of a joke from Trump's roast: Trump has a picture of Melania in his wallet.

Melania has a picture of Trump's wallet in hers.

3. What a stupid remark he made ...

I think many wives/partners would be crying their eyes out if their husband/partner just got shot. He makes such idiotic statements and none are ever funny.

6. After 48 years together......

I would certainly shed tears if my husband were in an accident that nearly killed him.

Real love shows its true face. The love of money and what it can give a person, rears its ugly head. There appears betwern the Trumps, no real love.

11. I'd like to see the pre-nup

I’m certain there is one, and I’ll bet it’s a him-dinger.

12. And how many times it's been changed.

Did it need to be updated post-Barron?
Post McDougal?
Post Stormy?
Pre Presidential run?

It only makes sense that there is one. Even if there was any reason to believe it was a love match, a third marriage with 4 kids from previous marriages would probably need one even without a family business in the mix.

Then I get into my curiosity about details.
How punitive is the non-disparagement clause? Does it go both ways?
How was the sponsorship of her parents' citizenship handled?
Were there incentives (for either party) around having a child?

14. The only things Melania loves is Baron and money.

This is one rare instance in which he accidentally told the truth.

17. If his mother had actually loved him

perhaps he would have been "normal" and not the monster he is today.
