The Kentucky Republican Party filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) Wednesday accusing Democrat Matt Jones of serious violations of campaign regulations.
The state GOP said Jones, a liberal radio host who is considering challenging Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R) and running against Amy McGrath in the Democratic Senate primary, of violating FEC regulations barring campaigns from accepting corporate donations.
Matt Jones must be held accountable immediately for misusing multiple platforms paid for by his corporate sponsors to unlawfully promote his U.S. Senate candidacy, Republican Party of Kentucky (RPK) Chairman J. McCauley Brown said in a statement.
In stark contrast to Jones candor about Amy McGraths authenticity problems, his attempts to conceal these violations from both the FEC and the public only heighten their severity. RPKs complaint is an important first step in stopping Jones flagrant failure to comply with federal regulations and we urge the FEC to deliver a swift and strong penalty.

Um, how can they file an FEC complaint if he's not even running yet? Wow. They are actually terrified that #MoscowMitch will lose.

(953 posts)Without it, how you can file an FEC complaint and expect anything to happen?

How can any Democrat forget that? Does anyone here still imagine Hillary was guilty of any of the allegations? All proved phony, but doesn't matter because they'd already fulfilled their function.
McConnell's a master, and for over 30 years he's had a mutually beneficial relation with his wealthy donors, consistently betrayed the people of KY, and buried his opposition every election under a mountain of dirty smears, just as much as it takes, all paid for quid pro quo.

As in setting off a nuclear bomb in the hearts and minds of the GOP. They can now imagine . . . LOSING. Even Moscow Mitch is vulnerable.
Oh, how sweet it is!!

(978 posts)The RNC and tRump have been soliciting dark money from Russia sources and they have the gall to complain about a simple corporate donation that wasn't properly washed through the dark money system?!
