Rightwing sites put the name out of a guy they've been trying to implicate in baseless conspiracies for years. There is zero credible evidence this person is the whistle blower. The whistle blowers name is not know.

11. This is how I think we should handle this.

"Big deal. He received second hand information from the very people who have actually come forward and testified to first-hand information." We should stress the anti-climactic quality of this "big reveal." It's a month too late for it to be interesting. Hopefully this takes pressure of the WB too.

And if there are legal actions we can take against the people who leaked the name, we must pursue those vigorously.

There is the 'volume and venom' crowd who actually wants to know so they have somewhere to direct their anger.

But then there is the rat-fucking crowd who doesn't really want to know. They would rather have a faceless boogieman to stir the shit about. It doesn't actually help them for it to become known.

For the sake of the WB, we should treat this as anti-climax in light of the first-person testimony we've received. This is not to minimize the importance of the whistleblower, but to try to take pressure off this person.
