Do you know what precinct you are in?

Do you know where your polling place is and how you'll get there on election day?

Do you know the name of your precinct committee person?

Is your local party planning to canvass? Do they have an active voter registration effort? Are they planning a phone-bank operation? Have you volunteered to help?

Is there some amount of money that you can contribute to help Democrats win in 2020?

Please consider that Trump has hundreds of millions of dollars ALREADY, much of it "dark" money, possibly from other nations. Please also consider that the GOP is DESPERATE and capable of extremist actions unprecedented in our history. They are shameless liars with the funding to get those lies repeated dozens of times a day on radio, TV, the internet and print media. ONLY the active participation of YOU AND ME---"US"---can stop these fascist robots.

1. Yep, it's two blocks from my apartment

I keep my voter card in my wallet so I always have it. I vote in every single election because:

ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES!!!

I cannot understand people who do not vote. It's shameful.

2. We vote by mail...

my ballot is right over there, ready to be filled out. I've been looking at some important state issues and initiatives.

Will fill it out and drop it off in the next day or so.

3. My "precinct" is the mailbox on the front porch.

I see my precinct committee person in the mirror every morning.

4. I'm way out in the country.

But only a 1/4 mile to my polling place. Exercise my right to vote and get a nice walk in.

5. My precinct is my kitchen table where my husband

and I fill out our ballots. We go over them very carefully to make sure we follow the instructions and donít make an innocent error that might get our ballot tossed.

Then we drive over to the nearest post office (a mile or two from our house) and my husband takes them inside to mail because the Dropbox leaks! LoL.

No pressure. No lines. No waiting. We can take our time if necessary. Usually we have discussed any issues up for a vote so we can research it if necessary. Voting by mail is great!

6. Useful links

Help the Dem Party locally:
https://events.mobilizeamerica.io/dnc/

Multiply your vote by volunteering:
https://multiplyyourvote2018.paperform.co/

Anyone who hasn't registered yet or needs to has a choice of online registration sites:
https://www.vote.org/ (also allows you to check your registration, shows what's on your ballot, sends reminders)
https://iwillvote.com/
https://www.rockthevote.org/resources/online-voter-registration-tool/
https://www.usa.gov/register-to-vote

For anyone who lacks his/her state's required voter ID, here's an excellent group for helping voters get IDs:

8. Yes, around the block from my house.

If itís nice I walk over. We donít have to show any ID in NY to vote. Just sign our name in the book to get our ballot.

I canít recall my Committee personís name.

The primary in June was the big deal here. Lots of door to door canvassing for that.

My whole town (and county I live in) is heavily Democratic. Itís an off off year election and just town officials up, County Court judges and County Legislators.

Dems will keep control of everything in my town and in the county I live in.

I worked in 2018 to flip the district next to mine from Red to Blue. We were successful! I couldnít even tell you who ran against my D Representative. Whoever it was stood zero chance.

Iím sure Iíll work again for same for the Congressional district north of mine next year.

I give to candidates directly. This year Iím giving to Kelly in Arizona, Gideon in Maine and McGrath in Kentucky.

ETA:

I will be working as an election clerk this Tuesday. (not at my precinct) I'm looking forward to it...first time for everything!

I also volunteer at our county HQ. I also volunteer for various campaigns. I even make some of my own GOTV literature, with dates and times voting etc. (It's expensive cuz I print the oddball elections in full color, so voters will notice)

11. Of course. In fact, we have an election next Tuesday.

School board and city council elections on the ballot in my precinct, which is Ward 6, Precinct 12 in St. Paul, MN. Our polling place is in the same room it has been since I moved here in 2004, at a local middle school. My wife and I, as usual, will go and vote at 10 AM. We'll walk, since it's only four blocks from our house.
