2. What are those people doing at Nationals Park in DC?

I donít understand.

Why would anyone have been in that ballpark tonight?

Do they go there to watch the game on TV?

Seriously? People go to a ballpark in DC to sit outside and watch a TV show of a game being played in Houston?

Color me stupid, but I had no idea people did that.

And in the rain, no less.

8. People who can't go to Houston, but want the experience of watching the game together in the stadium

It's kind of like an election night party, during a nail-biter election, in the home town of the candidate. Make sense now?

20. The date of the tweet is October 30th

So this happened last night, during the final 7th game.

21. Yes, which was in Houston, not Washington

Hence my confusion about why the fans were gathered in a ballpark where no game was taking place.

23. Washington fans got to see it on the big screen in their home park

... which is nice, but nowhere near as nice as being at the game.

Not one of the 7 games was won in the home park of the winning team. The Houston and Washington fans were all paying $500+ for tickets and nobody got to see their team win at home. I think it's kind of a shame.

7. Why the fuck is a campaign ad airing on the jumbotron?

Seems inappropriate, regardless of candidate. But it being Trump makes it much MUCH worse.

16. If you are licensing a broadcast to show to people in a commercial venue...

...then you are usually not permitted to violate the copyright in that broadcast stream by altering it in any way.

What one might permissibly do at home is a different story than a sports bar, stadium, etc..

18. Turning a broadcast off does not violate its copyright.

But it would be pretty labor intensive for the stadium to throw alternative stuff on the Jumbotron during commercials I guess, and someone would have to keep a close watch on the broacast to immediately switch to the game when the ads are over. Certainly no restaurant or bar would bother with that.

24. that would depend on the licensing terms

If it's licensed to you for some commercial venue, you have to abide by the terms of the license. If those terms prohibit you from altering the stream, turning it off for parts you don't like is a violation.

22. Hope to see it at other games and venues. Not little clusters of acting out,

but boos across the stadiums. Of course, they're likely to pull the ads.
