1. Not exactly a John Dean,

motives not comparable, are they?

7. His motives are irrelevant to me here. I'm just thinking about the outcome

2. Bolton is war happy

He's a hawk. But he's also proudly American and protective of our national security. I don't want him to work for another administration, but if his tenure in the Trump admin means he can bring Trump et al down, I'm not sad he had a position in this one. Especially since he was neutered by Trump's chaotic erratic ness and lack of vision.

(It's almost too ironically good to be true, isn't it?)

3. Well, maybe not John Dean.......

but to think, the "Walrus" could be the person that brings it all tumbling down in a huge pile of (you pick whatever you want to call it!) - well, no, I would NEVER have thought it possible.

5. I Won't Believe It UNtil His Testimony Is Completed

and so revealing that the world is gobsmacked

6. He may be a creep but not a crook?

The corruption of the Trumps is enough to drive almost anyone to testify.

8. No way.

Bolton is just playing around with the public. His target audience is Trump - he is just messing around with his head.

He doesn't really want to testify. If he does he will NOT say anything bad about Trump.

9. I will remain super suspicious about Bolton. Until I hear him.

However, I do not doubt there are people who disagree with me totally on both domestic and international policy that also hold the constitution in the same regard as I do. And view a a President that abuses his power as a threat to democracy.

Does that describe Bolton? Doubtful.

10. I was surprised when Fat Nixon appointed Bolton in the first place.

Bolton's belligerent attitude probably appealed to him, but with respect to foreign policy, Bolton is an interventionist while Trump is an isolationist (to the extent he has a foreign policy at all). Also, and more importantly, Bolton is a mean, vindictive, egotistical bastard who'd never kiss that fat orange ass like so many other groveling Cabinet secretaries - so it was always a match made in Hell. Bolton's departure (he says he quit; Trump says he was fired) came at a suspicious time and was probably intended to humiliate Bolton, which is how Trump rolls. But while Bolton doesn't do humiliation, he does do revenge. He's not John Dean as much as Genghis Khan, or maybe the Commendatore from Don Giovanni.

11. If Bolton just tells the truth about what Trump said and did, that'll be damning enough
