What good is our strategic world plan if we are being destroyed by nature at home?

We should take 50% of the resources we spend on military and shuttle it to a Department that can deal with climate change at a national level.

But it sure needs to be put together as fast as possible. An entire cabinet should be created just for that.

4. We could use a lot of immigrants to help the process of climate mitigation.

You know, a lot of people, working in hell, to get the job done. Same with our coastal needs. Lots of labor to build erossion barriers around our major cities and population centers.

If we have really have reasonably full employment, we need a lot of immigrants to deal with the climate changes we face, going forward.

3. LOL. Good luck getting 50% of the military budget reduced for... anything.

Many (most?) Dems wouldn't go along with it because of the economic impact in their districts.

We do need to do much more, of course, but any economic pain has to be managed or people won't go for it.

We spend, I don't know , a couple of Trillion fighting Islamic radicalism in the ME over the last 2 decades. We can't use some of that to save ourselves?
