How much denial can a person be in and still function?

Quite a bit, if you have enough people to prop you up.

Addicts tend to deny that they are addicted until everything around them falls apart and they suffer the real consequences of their addictions.

Trump, on the other hand, will deny that he has done anything wrong even when he is physically removed from the White House.

He will deny wrongdoing as long as he has breath in his body, and many of those who prop him up will continue to prop him up even when its ludicrous.

Its not going to be anything like what happened with Nixon.
