How much should Democrats rely on the polls before they impeach?

Should they not impeach if the polls are below 50%?

In my opinion, impeachment is not something that should be tied to public opinion polls. If they are waiting on the polls to hit 60 or 70%, I doubt that will ever happen in this political environment.

However, I believe Pelosi's patience is permitting the people to see enough evidence to legitimately impeach. If crimes have been committed, they have no choice, regardless of the polls, but to impeach.

1. The impeachment inquiry should continue, with public hearings.

As the evidence mounts up, the poll numbers will also rise.

This is happening so quickly, as more and more staffers decide that Trump must be exposed.

5. Right, it was never either-or. Hearings will continue to drive the polls up.

And we drive our own destiny.

8. I agree

Right now, polling is consistently at or above 50% in favor of the inquiry. That number has been climbing the longer the investigation dominates the headlines. I expect public support will continue to grow as the process unfolds. Evidence and testimony is a lot more informative and captures people's attention a lot more than partisan bickering. Democrats just need to play the hand out, methodically, deliberately, and irresistibly.

3. As polls rise, Members will confirm them, and more news will hit . . .

7. I have said all along, people don't quite know what 'Impeach' means...

For example someone might say, 'no', because they want Trump to go to jail...

And so forth...
