Trump's impeachment barricade crumbles

Key witnesses are ignoring Trump and delivering bombshell testimony in Democrats’ Ukraine investigation.

Donald Trump's impeachment blockade has collapsed.

The president's former top Russia adviser, Fiona Hill — the first White House official to cooperate in Democrats' investigation of the Ukraine scandal — has detailed for lawmakers a trail of alleged corruption that extends from Kiev to the West Wing. In dramatic testimony on Monday, she roped in some of Trump's top advisers as witnesses to the unfolding controversy.

And on Tuesday, a senior State Department official, George Kent, appeared on Capitol Hill to testify about his knowledge of the episode despite an attempt by Trump administration lawyers to block him, according to a source working on the impeachment inquiry. The House Intelligence Committee issued a subpoena for his testimony Tuesday morning, and Kent, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, complied. - Politico

Jamie Raskin's prediction looks to becoming true, after the committees get done beating the WH over the head with criminal conduct, republicans are going to be begging for democrats to impeach tRump. UNCLE!

6. Perhaps he means there is enough to take out the whole top of the administration.

We know that they are all traitors. I hope there is proof.

10. I doubt a GOP Senate would ever let President Pelosi happen.

They would rather keep Pence, no matter what the fallout.

3. we won't

I agree that we SHOULD, but this country cant stop indulging right wing fuck wittery.

They might take a beating, but they did in 06 and 08, only for the country to give them the biggest mid term win in our lives because they lost their bloody minds over dems passing THEIR version of health care reform.

13. RIGHT?

THEY HAVE NO ANSWERS ON health care (pretty much anything for that matter).

But, STILL have their brain dead base on a leash over it, and the "middle" can't figure out they have no answers and use it only as a political wedge.

9. Way too premature to make that judgment.

This current Republican president, with a dizzying degree of incompetence and corruption, is still competitive nationally with Democratic candidates. And if anything, Trump has solidified the support of the hardcore right in this country. We've been hearing about the demise of Republican strength nationally since at least 2008. Skepticism is called for with this claim of the last Republican president.

Meanwhile, doing the work of impeachment and strengthening the Democratic brand is work enough.

16. It's trending the right way at least.

Refusing to testify is foolish. You'd be better off testifying and being hostile or taking the 5th.
