Felicity Huffman reports to federal prison, begins 14 day sentence, no time off for good behavior.

Actress Felicity Huffman reported to a federal prison in Northern California on Tuesday to start a 14-day sentence for her role in a massive college admissions scandal that rocked elite universities around the U.S.

The "Desperate Housewives" star surrendered to authorities at the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, California, which is about 40 miles east of San Francisco, her representative said.

Huffman, a one-time Oscar nominee and the wife of actor William H. Macy, will also have to pay a fine of $30,000 and perform 250 hours of community service under the sentence handed down by U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani last month.

The 56-year-old actress admitted to paying for someone to proctor and correct her daughter's college board test, which resulted in the score jumping 400 points above her PSAT performance to 1420 out of a possible 1600.

(end snip)

Supposedly, she got a light sentence because there were no victims. I disagree. IMHO there were victims, those not placed in colleges because of her high scores, the schools and the testing process for a loss of integrity.

I hear a concert from tiny violins.

1. Lori is going to woe the day she decided to "dig in..." Huffman got off light, but it will be

3. Aunt Becky is a RW holier than thou thumper

who sees everyone as a lesser. She also think her billionaire husband (also indicted) should be able to buy their way out of this.

2. She got a light sentence because she quickly took responsibility for her actions

Lori Loughlin will get a much longer sentence because she didnít. Also there was more money involved in her case, and she also allegedly committed mail fraud.

5. Federal sentencing is based on a points system

If Loughlin has no priors, she will likely get a minimal sentence, also.

6. Yup, and Huffmman's public statement/apology was perfect

Whoever helped her and William Macy craft it earned their money. And, I'm not being snarky.

She will be losing out on award noms and wins this year for "When They See Us," too, but her career will be fine.
