That was an easy prediction. Trump is one of the few people in the world who does not understand you cannot treat the Middle East like a fucking play toy, like a game. He doesn't understand the history of the Middle East.

Trump has been fucking around with everybody in the Middle East. I thought the Iran situation would spin out control. It still may.

3. Trump alone did this

His entire administration had no idea he'd go into this meeting and undo years of US policy on the Kurds. I think this was something he had in the back of his head that Putin might like, but he probably just gave the OK to Erdogan on a whim during the meeting without realizing the consequences.

There will be several resignations over this, they just haven't dropped yet. But his staff has to be panicking.
