1. I don't know where this whole impeachment thing is going to go but I do know that

we have our best people "on it". Pelosi and Schiff make a formidable team.

4. Marie Marie!

We do have the best people on it. They will get the job done.

Will we suffer? Yes. Don will make our lives a living hell until we are done.

Stay strong.

2. Kick his ass out of office Nancy.

Oh, it's on now for sure and Trump fears her more than any other human I think.

With good reason too.

And she may actually be President for a while, ready to hand the office over to the next great Americans.

38. Future history? You mean fake news?

I do wish there was some way for Trump to read a future history book before he dies. It would be the cruelest possible blow to his ridiculously bloated but extremely fragile ego.

The one that kicked his ass right out of the White House in the middle of his term in high heels and impeccable makeup with just a snap of her fingers.

Thatíll hurt!

7. Just a question

I do not know why they do not have a formal vote for an impeachment inquiry. Not doing so only gives Trump and the Republicans an excuse to be assholes.

8. They don't need one.

Article I, Section 2 of the Constitution states: "The House of Representatives shall [choose] their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment." The ambiguous language offers the chamber discretion as to how it conducts impeachment proceedings.

And Trump and company will always be assholes.

29. The impeachment of Andrew Johnson had no such thing occur

The Articles (in several attempts) were brought immediately to the floor for debate and a vote -

Don't let them define history because of their ignorance of it.

13. Frankly, I don't care what Repubs say.

And I seriously doubt they gave a damn that Clinton's impeachment looked bad since they were as one gunning for the man as one.

every newscast that talks about the non-cooperation of Trump includes "unlike the impeaching of Nixon and Clinton there was no vote before starting it." To enable the Republicans to say this just looks bad. We know the votes were there before the inquiry began, so why not do the formality and take a vote in the House. It just looks better.

I already posted you the articles. They do not need a full house vote. Rule of law.

Article I, Section 2 of the Constitution states: "The House of Representatives shall [choose] their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment." The ambiguous language offers the chamber discretion as to how it conducts impeachment proceedings.

21. Here's the thing

I can give you two possible reasons they might not want to put it to a vote at the moment. First, they can campaign against the Democrats in trump districts by using that vote against them. Second, Republicans may want to point to the vote as being purely political so they will whine and moan about political witch hunts and how it should be dropped because it will never go anywhere... all with the hope that public opinion will start going the other way. Right now polls show that public opinion is increasingly favorable toward impeachment. We just need to keep the pressure on and let new revelations drop every day.

24. The more the moRons will stonewall (and get more articles of impeachment)

The more the voters will conclude they have something to hide, as every new day, new damning informations surface (drip, drip, drip). And we're almost ready to win the court cases on his tax returns, plus there's a big chance we'll get the Mueller Report's un-redacted version + the supporting Grand Jury documents, plus the Emoluments clause violations, plus the Deutshe Bank records...

The more crimes see the light of day, the more the polls will show kick-him-out 'n in jail (probably NY State).

25. The thinking that the Republicans

have any say about anything having to do with government procedure is exactly how people normalize this crap. Pretending theyíre in any way decent and honorable human beings is unacceptable.

In the last couple of weeks Iíve felt a real release of pent up tension. I feel the Democratic Congress has finally got this. So Iíve backed away a little because even though things are happening everyday, or because of it, the pace is dizzying and disorienting. Itís of no use to get caught up in the minute by minute happenings.

The funny thing is that as Iíve started to relax I find that my shock and outrage are coming back to me even stronger now. Itís been a kind of relief because it made me realize I never normalized Trumpís crazed Narcissism. After all this time I am still truly outraged. Justice has to happen so we can call ourselves decent people.
