It's happening.

You know how we wondered what Trump would do once he realized the jig was up? Well, it's happening. As others on DU have noticed, Trump is capitulating to Russia by betraying the Kurds; and now threatening to back out of the Open Skies Treaty - which favors Russia. It's a fire sale. He's trying to pay back debts by exposing us and endangering our National Security.

He doesn't care because I don't think he plans to stick around the 50 States once his presidency is over. Why would he stick around to face American justice? He knows what it takes to keep the Republicans "on his side" and he won't have leverage once he crosses a Rubicon, which I suspect he's straddling right now.

1. Trump is worse than Neville Chamberlain.....

Who appeased Adolph Hitler in 1938 regarding Poland, then invaded Poland in 1939 that started WWII. The comparissons are there. But this time, the stakes are much higher.

3. I am just wondering about all the Constitutional laws that will be changed

that will effect the presidential candidate requirements in the Krakean size wake that Trump leaves behind.

6. A general competency...

A general competency exam wouldn't be too much to ask for; it is not like the position is trivial. Fast talking, manipulative campaigners can obviously appear to be what they are not.

Faking it is unacceptable and yields or leans towards the populist/nationalist effect, as well by way of a President who immerses himself in unsubstantiated conspiracies, (and creates them) as if they were hot, bubble baths. The job is sophisticated and obviously requires skills and capacities that now stand out with this joker in.

It seems in that sense, Walmart vets its employees more scrupulously

10. WORSE than Chamberlain, exponentially

Chamberlain was a gullible fool, but at least he wasn't a puppet of Nazi Germany, and he believed he was working for the common good.

tRump, by contrast, only does things that profit him personally, and is totally subservient to Russia and Putin's whims.

2. Yes, he's going to go out with a bang, not a whimper, and he doesn't care what effect

his disastrous decisions will have on the future of our country or our world. He has done everything he can to wreck our environment, our government and our relations with our allies.

Do you think he'll retire here in the US or in Russia when this is all over?

I hope karma swats him extra hard.

4. AG, think about this: There are Kurds who have been slaughtered in the

last few hours and Europe is being destabilized because Trump is capitulating to Russia. It's going to be a security nightmare to protect him.

He's going to go to a country where he feels safe. I don't know where that is, besides Russia.

5. Trump is NO Snowden in that respect....Too BIG a target...

Trump will be forced to turn over his massive business holdings to Putin in exchange for asylum room and board. For Putin is not generous and knows where the bodies are buried. The children will be forced to flee as well. All US and World assets need to be frozen and soon.

9. I suspect this is a reason why his conversations with Putin were private.

He's negotiating better terms. Would not surprise me if Barr is out there looking for a good place to land as well.

Seriously, I think these people think there's a place out there that's safe haven for despots and dictators. Maybe there is.

7. Remember when he leaves office, he becomes just an indictable boy.

You can indict a has-been all day long.

He'll get help from a country where he can fight extradition. But he will have to pay for it.
