Instead — as we are just learning now, thanks to some skilled reporting from CNN — whatever happened in that phone call was the subject of elaborate effort to shield what was really talked about ...

1. He and jared are co-conspirators. MBS did it but he also bailed out Kushner, so it's fine with them

They, like always, are just hiding his and their corruption as well as the part they both played in making the murder happen.

2. Another quid pro quo?

Saudis did a deal with Kushner, gave him money (quid) in exchange for silence on the murder (pro quo). This was probably only a small part of the deal.
