4. Somethign just seems off to me
Trump ready and willing to provide transcripts. Republicans high fiving that we are going after impeachment. Something isn't right here. Maybe it is due to getting my heart ripped out so many times... I don't know.

10. You mean Republicans figured out that Impeachment might be good for Trump?
And that a failure to convict him would allow him to claim he was exonerated?
Like people here have been saying for months? |

11. Yep. The high fiving republicans really ...
... bother me. trump is an idiot at most things, but a lot of the republican leadership is pretty savvy. I don’t see them panicking and jumping ship. They have a plan, and it may well be a good one.
Something just doesn’t smell right about this, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it turns out they are baiting a trap. Last week someone posted an article that said the House Dems should censor trump. It was shot down pretty aggressively as “weak sauce” and a futile effort that would make us look weak. I agree. But tell me the difference between that and articles of impeachment that go no where? A Senate show trial and acquittal will be the equivalent of “not guilty” and “did nothing wrong”, etc... and we will be painted even more brightly as the party harassing the president. I hope this whistleblower turns out to be as explosive as we all hope. But I’m going to wait until it all comes to light to celebrate. YMMV. |

3. No but,
I keep thinking back to the video of him finding out Putin was invited to the White House:
He's probably a bit of a hawk and certainly not a social liberal, but I don't think he's either a moron or a traitor and I can buy that he reached his breaking point when it became obvious that the corruption was just going to keep getting worse. |

5. I've been wondering if the whole thing isn't a setup
to make the dems look foolish. What if the whole whistle blower thing is a sham? Yea, I'm paranoid these days.

7. Let's hope there is really something there, or this is going to be like Obama's birth certificate.
Clearly trump can lie, but supposedly the whistleblower is going to testify.
