AOC wants Republicans 'on the record' against impeaching Trump

New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wants to bring an impeachment vote in Congress for Republicans to go on the record for or against impeaching President Trump.

The freshman Democratic lawmaker made the challenge while speaking to reporters Tuesday on Capitol Hill.

"I want to see every Republican go on the record and knowingly vote against impeachment of this president, knowing his corruption, having it on the record," Ocasio-Cortez said. "This is outrageous to protect the amount of lawlessness."

Ocasio-Cortez and 128 other representatives, more than half of the Democratic caucus in the House, support impeaching Trump. One independent lawmaker, Justin Amash of Michigan, also supports impeachment. No Republicans are on the record supporting impeaching Trump, according to the New York Times count.

The Dems are being pussies by not coming out strong on these issues... I'm done with this whole "let's wait" mentality.

Wait till when? till we are under some fucked up version of martial law?

Seriously, I saw an article here yesterday in which the reporter said something about impeachment having "lackluster public support"

FUCK THEM

Maybe it is time to take to the streets... I don't know how to make it any more clear to Congress... "Fucking DO something!"

some of them seem to prefer to just let it all go, after all, he's a Republican, so corruption isn't a problem!

Now, if he were a Democrat, they'd all be fully on board!

sane person in this country has seen what a disaster Trump has been. He is nothing more than a cheap con-man, a common criminal and he has PUBLICLY, within the last couple of weeks, broken the law - falsifying a weather report is a crime, as is lying to the press in order to move the market. The latter is an impeachable offense all by itself. Not to mention the ten counts of obstruction, witness tampering, and I'm sure numerous other racketeering crimes.

It is time, as the old saw goes, to s**t or get off the pot. I mean, at some point, and I believe we've reached, even passed, that point, politics becomes irrelevant in the face of simply doing the responsible thing. We have a criminal maniac in office and he needs to be removed.

if it's Repugnants in the election.
If we get them on the record as being spineless cowards by refusing to stand up to Trump then our people can force them to go on the defensive.
And they need to keep hammering and hammering the Repugnants for being cowards and keep them from controlling the narrative.

But I don't think it much matters to Republican voters. Just look at NC-09 where the Republican, who is a white nationalist running in an election that was necessary because of Republican fraud in the election last November was still able to win. The moral bankruptcy of Republicans is complete. And since in a district like NC-09 those Republicans would be mostly evangelical Christians - you get the picture.
