EASTWOOD not bizarre/senile; RYAN & RUBIO are twerps; and Mittens' human parents & women
I will not put blinders on. The speeches were well written and delivered, which makes the Rethug ticket that much more of a threat and I will (continue to) hold my breath (besides voting and working) until the results are done.
There's a lot of clucking at EASTWOOD around. Tweety played a long ten seconds where EASTWOOD seemed to be in a silent brain fart, but apart from that he wasn't "rambling" as he has been said to have been or not making sense (in the wingnut sense of things). David CORN was valid in saying that what didn't make sense was that EASTWOOD is pro-marriage-equality and pro-Choice and wanting out of Afghanistan so he "shouldn't have been there at all." But intellectual fabric apart, EASTWOOD covered all the usual wingnut snipings and gave them artistic form in a brilliant piece of performance art. And he did what their Keynoter a-hole CHRISTIE failed to do, which was to ROUSE his audience. The throat-cutting gesture was way over the line. But the most dangerous thing he accomplished was, as somebody told Tweety, "to make it O.K. to laugh at OBAMA (and BIDEN)."
As LIMBOsevic knows and practices, once the mocking and ridiculing starts it snowballs at the target in all other ways.
With RUBIO and RYAN, it's a different story. They are TWERPS. Both of them have the "lean and hungry" look of Cassius. RUBIO's comes from the Immigrant/ZealousConvert syndrome, hungry for material gain and status. RYAN's is rooted in what to get at the same hunger for material gain and status? BIDEN better not be the noble and polite gentleman, the way he let a-hole Quitter invade his space with, "Hello, JOE, may I call you JOE?!1" He'd better tell RYAN, "Show some respect!1 before we get going here." And Professor RUBIO needs to get over the "THESE United States things" --- and himself.
As for Mittens, he delivered a good reading of a well written thing. But he's been gaffing every day the entire year, tin earring about his stratospheric alienation from ordinary humans. Can a couple of sentences about his parents and women in general really wash all the weirdness away?!1 Who among us can NOT tell some heart-tugging stories about our families or others without tearing up. Will his depiction of Bain as a feisty little company and the personal travails involved wipe away all the cruelty of his religious Administrator role with those leaving his religion, or the bullying of Gay students, or the harm to those in BAIN's way, or YES of Seamus? What can he do without a speech to read?
