Stephanie Ruhle's asking a good question about billionaire Leon Black.

One more time...Leon Black
Co-founder of Apollo- personally worth $7bn w/access to preeminent experts of everything... sought tax strategy, estate planning & philanthropic advice from Jeffrey Epstein- the man who hung himself in prison while awaiting sex trafficking trial.

WHY?

Replying to
@SRuhle
2/ Black became one of the richest men in America buying companies. He has a deep understanding of due dilligence, reputation risk & brand value.
Yet, he & his 4 children invested in a company with Epstein, a registered sex offender. 2 of his sons serve on the board.
WHY?

https://www.nytimes.com/2019/08/01/business/jeffrey-epstein-leon-black-apollo.html

But so far, Mr. Black has not discussed a company that he and his four children — as well as Mr. Epstein — invested in three years after Mr. Epstein pleaded guilty to a charge of soliciting prostitution from a minor in Florida. Mr. Epstein’s financial advisory firm took a roughly 6 percent equity stake in Environmental Solutions Worldwide in 2011. Two of Mr. Black’s sons serve on the board of the company, which makes emission control products, according to the company website.

A spokeswoman for Mr. Black did not have a comment.

In the weeks since Mr. Epstein’s arrest in July, Mr. Black has found himself in the thorny situation of having to explain his personal business dealings with Mr. Epstein.

“Neither Mr. Epstein nor any company controlled by him has ever invested in any funds managed by Apollo,” Mr. Black said in the letter.

3. Right. He attended college for a while but didn't graduate. But somehow he got a job

teaching high school, and from there got picked up by an investment firm to work for them.

4. i always assumed he inherited money from family but i just quickly read a bit

on him and his parents were not wealthy and based on the work they did were probably no more than middle class and maybe at the lower end of that.

i think he grew his wealth by blackmailing wealthy people and other people in positions of influence such as Barr's father.

5. That is very plausible. One theory is that he blackmailed them by requiring him

to invest very large sums of money with him. So he earned his "fee" for handling their money -- and no one asked why billionaires were willing to invest large amounts of money with this kid.

Another possibility is he was involved with money-laundering.

8. Or, all of the above.

His blackmail ploy was probably to hold their activities with his exploited young women and girls over them.

15. Hired by Bill Barr's father

To teach school. He had no degree.
Why is Bill Barr allowed anywhere near this investigation?

14. But his social networking skills were through the roof.

And in this day and age, that's all that matters.

6. Capitalism creates filthy rich monsters

Capitalism worships money so much that anyone with it can get away with murder. It goes to their head. They think they are Gods or Satan.

9. The reason

the filthy rich need to stay rich is to have unfettered control over others, slavery of some kind or another. Money makes everything okay in a capitalist society. The all mighty dollar is what it's all about for them, and forcing others to do horrible things as well. There is no direct positive correlation between capitalism and the well being of all or any living things.

7. As the Saying Goes, Behind Every Great Fortune is a Great Crime

It's a given, anyone who had any level of financial dealings with Epstein had to be involved in some sort of criminal activity. Epstein was far too unqualified and far too dirty. And if the extent of Epstein's far-reaching web of crime and those involved is ever revealed, I have a feeling many of the names revealed will be surprising.

11. The Feds thought

John DeLorean was smuggling drugs with his corporation.

Author Jim Marrs wrote Medieval Knights moved money like an international bank - money transfer - deposit here, pickup there - essentially like a corporation.

Common folk do not have the connections to smuggle. But look at the seizures of smuggled goods at our ports and borders each year, each week really. The Wall won't stop any of it.

So something might be going on wherever you look. She asks a good question. What's up with that?

12. Epstein was a sociopath like Trump.

No morals.
No conscience.
I am sure he lied through his teeth too.
