Isaac aftermath

No power yet in uptown New Orleans, but I expect it back in time for the Saints game. Clean up has begun but lots of problems north of us, including a possible dam break in MS. Checking in from an off-site log-in. At least I missed Ryan's lie fest.

Electricity has been out since Monday afternoon, and no internet, and no land line. I'm at Whole Foods trying to charge everything. Riding around Metairie, there are no power lines down, only a couple trees down, no flooding and yet no one has power. WTF! Just called my mother in Mississippi to see if they are reporting the power outage on the news. Nothing.

I was sitting on my back porch most of the day and didn't see a single Entergy truck anywhere. I haven't seen any on Veterans in Metairie either.

I have only seen 3 business open on Vets in Metaire . . . Whole Foods, Winn Dixie and Rouse's. They must be using generators because no other businesses have power. This is ridicuous!

It took two weeks for the power to come back.

Nothing you can do but just take it easy, and sweat.

Hope your power comes back soon.

One thing I did buy after Ike was more solar lights.

I had a few but I can light up the house and yard now.

I have friends in Metairie who have power - near West Esplanade.

Hopefully by the time the Saints came comes on, we're all powered up.

Hope yours comes back soon.

Time to BBQ your defrosting meats. Stay safe and try and have as much fun as you can.
