State and County Fall fairs and festivals will be starting up soon-
In the wake of the Gilroy Garlic festival, are there other people that are concerned about attending these festivals? Have your plans changed at all, or do you still feel comfortable attending?

1. I am always looking for exit routes and thinking about what I would do in an emergency, no matter
where I am. I've done so for decades.

6. Those are safe events
Gun shows, like Trump’s rallies, are gun-free zones. People are safe at those.
Elsewhere, not so much. |

4. I am not concerned
It is tragic and happens way too often but it is still a statistically insignificant thing to worry about.
You are much more likely to suffer from a fatal car crash on the way to the festival. For that matter, I would worry more about food poisoning from those pop-up food stands. Especially the ones selling sushi. |

5. Iowa state fair is a huge thing during primary season
but shootings happen everywhere in this country.

7. We're going to annual Garlic Festival
Shawnee Mt., Pa., Labor Day Weekend. Since it's at the border, there are a lot of people coming from NJ and NY. You cannot live your life in fear.

8. No more concerned
Than I have ever been.
I also will walk to my car during a thunderstorm without worrying about being hit by lightning. Extremely rare events are extremely rare. |
