Senate Intel Committee Report: NO EVIDENCE OF CHANGED VOTES OR MANIPULATED VOTE TALLIES

REPORT OF THE SELECT COMMITTEE ON INTELLIGENCE
UNITED STATES SENATE
ON
RUSSIAN ACTIVE MEASURES CAMPAIGNS AND INTERFERENCE IN THE 2016 U.S. ELECTION
VOLUME 1: RUSSIAN EFFORTS AGAINST ELECTION INFRASTRUCTURE WITH ADDITIONAL VIEWS

In its review, the Committee has seen no indications that votes were changed, vote tallying systems were manipulated, or that any voter registration data was altered or deleted, although the Committee and IC's insight is limited. Pol! workers and voting monitors did not report widespread suspicious activity surrounding the 2016 election. DHS Assistant Secretary Jeanette Manfra said in the Committee's open hearing in June 2017 that "1 want to reiterate that we do have confidence in the overall integrity of our electoral system because our voting infrastructure is fundamentally resilient." Further, all three witnesses in that hearing—Ms. Manfra, Dr. Files, and FBI Assistant Director for Counterintelligence Bill Priestap—agreed that they had no evidence that votes themselves were changed in any way in the 2016 election.

Dr. Files said that DHS "assessed that multiple checks and redundancies in U.S. election infrastructure, including diversity of systems, non-internet connected voting machines, pre-election testing and processes for media, campaign and election officials to check, audit, and validate the results—all these made it likely that cyber manipulation of the U.S. election systems intended to change the outcome of the national election would be detected. He later said "the level of effort and scale required to change the outcome of a national election would make it nearly impossible to avoid detection."

The Senate is Co-chaired by Mark Warner. Members include Diane Feinstein, Kamala Harris, Michael Bennet, Martin Heinrich, ANgus King and Rony Wyden. They are not disputing the findings of the Committee

1. Great. Now lets figure out if the voter rolls were manipulated, since by removing valid voters

You can accomplish much the same thing, only with a bit less efficiency since some will show up and insist on provisional ballots (which are often not counted).

This avenue involves considerably less risk, and considerably less technical know-how.

2. A fair question, but if they had there would have been election day stories...

...of people being turned away in larger numbers.

The more likely explanation (which fits the other facts) is searching for voters to target in Russia's Facebook advertising.

5. So the Democratic Senators are hiding the truth?

Crafting a conspiracy theory to support another conspiracy theory gets very clumsy.

7. Left wing conspiracy theories

are just as goofy as right wing conspiracy theories, but are more embarrassing because I expect better from my side.

6. Not surprising. But people will continue to claim votes were changed.

Just like they believe millions were turned away at the polls.

9. Did you look at the report. I did and I don't believe they had much confidence in their 'findings'.

They said as much.

In fact the findings are blacked out except for one statement that supports what they concluded.
This is similar to what Barr did with the Mueller report. So you would believe Barr's assessment
of the Mueller report as well?

16. OF COURSE THEY DID!

I read somewhere that for the exit polls to have all been off - well beyond the margin of error - the final tallies always skewing towards Drumpf - were the same odds as flipping a coin and getting heads 23 times in a row. (Gazillion squared)

18. Exit Polls included a lot of "no answers," and I suspect a lot who said voted for Clinton

voted for trump but were too ashamed to say so.

I started feeling sick on election night as Kentucky's votes came in early. It was clear Clinton was not doing as well as projected.

19. Actually the odds of getting 26 heads in 28 tosses. Yeah, how often do you expect this to happen?

They don't want us to know the truth. eos.

11. Point to a Democratic Senator on the Committee questioning the findings.

12. Russia hacked the vote because they were curious. That's all

They just wanted to poke around and gain insight into how a western democracy conducts its elections. Why would Russia, a nation that has always been our dearest ally, try to influence our election in favor of a candidate on whom they had kompromat? It just doesn't make any sense to say something like that. It's impossible to imagine.

Just in case you had no idea.

13. You should look at the report? Most of the summarized 'findings' are blacked out.

Much of the report itself (maybe 50% or more) is blacked out (or redacted).
If you believe the Senate's assessment, then why not believe Barr's assessment of Mueller's report?
(I realize you don't btw).

It's worthless.
