I just witnessed a Jeopardy blunder

Could not believe it

and knew he could at least tie. I hate tiebreakers and wish they both could come back.

Thought you had to have fairly broad knowledge to be on that show.

not remembering "chinchilla" (who's ever seen one either in the wild or even in captivity?) and the 15 year old boy in his mind just took over.

And it would not be considered a blunder if he thought he was MUCH stronger player and had a LOCK on returning the next day.

When did this change?


At least that's the way my Swiss cheese brain remembers it.

"The way I looked at it, "Notorious" was a very broad category and I expected it would be something about John Dillinger, Al Capone, etc. and I knew that was a weakness of mine. I thought I had a less than 50% chance at getting the clue and assumed I had a 50% chance at a tiebreaker. In effect, I was playing for the tiebreaker instead of risking a $1 loss. I played the odds and knew from there I'd have to hope for the best.

But Nathan kept me on my toes all game and then played final and the tiebreaker perfectly. At that point, you just tip your cap and feel fortunate that you were part of a thrilling finale!"

I really liked Roey... hoped to see him for a while.

I didn't like that head bob or upwards jerk when he would chose the next clue. I thought he'd go further, too.
