My Trump-humping Christian in-laws are actually praying for RBG to die!

How do I know this? Sometimes my wife's dad accidentally includes the email address we use for family stuff when he forwards his bullshit #MAGA prayer chains, conspiracy theories and memes. Apparently his Bible study group has a weekly "prayer focus" and this week it's for gawd to kill Ruth Badger Ginsburg.

So tell me again how Christianity is a religion of love?

For Jesus Christ NEVER preached the shit these people believe.

Reverse the psychology and throw Bible scripture back at them to contradict what they say. I doubt you will get much more garbage mail from them in the future.

I probably know more about the Bible than most of the thumpers, so I've countered a lot of their ignorance over the years. Didn't matter. They just ignored the verses they didn't like.

They just say their interpretation of Christianity is right and yours is wrong, and there's no way for you to prove otherwise. Especially when they have a congregation, prayer group and/or preachers who agree with them.

Questioning them is not enough. The accusation needs to be made or they won't get that they aren't, in fact, Christians if they think and behave in a way that isn't Christian.

I ended friendships over shit like that when he was President. I'm sure they're praying for the demise of Pelosi and numerous other Dems, as well. Not that it matters. The very fact that the likes of Trump and McConnell remain in office, running roughshod over the country, hurting millions of people is just more proof that there is no "God." Or, at least not one that gives a shit about anything that goes on here.

81. 'who is literally everything their holy book tells them is bad. '

Now, as our Lord Jesus Christ, who is also God, was prophesied of under the figure of a lion, on account of His royalty and glory, in the same way have the Scriptures also aforetime spoken of Antichrist as a lion, on account of his tyranny and violence. For the deceiver seeks to liken himself in all things to the Son of God. Christ is a lion, so Antichrist is also a lion; Christ is a king, so Antichrist is also a king. The Saviour was manifested as a lamb; so he too, in like manner, will appear as a lamb, though within he is a wolf.

The Saviour came into the world in the circumcision, and he will come in the same manner. The Lord sent apostles among all the nations, and he in like manner will send false apostles. The Saviour gathered together the sheep that were scattered abroad, and he in like manner will bring together a people that is scattered abroad. The Lord gave a seal to those who believed on Him, and he will give one (MAGA Hat) in like manner. The Saviour appeared in the form of man, and he too will come in the form of a man. The Saviour raised up and showed His holy flesh like a temple, and he will raise a temple of stone (new US embassy) in Jerusalem. And his seductive arts we shall exhibit in what follows.

Then, after the lioness, he sees a “second beast like a bear,” and that denoted the Persians (Russians). For after the Babylonians, the Persians held the sovereign power. And in saying that there were “three ribs in the mouth of it,” he pointed to three nations, viz., the Persians (Russians), and the Medes (Chinese), and the Babylonians (USA); which were also represented on the image by the silver after the gold.

By the beast, then, coming up out of the earth, he means the kingdom of Antichrist; and by the two horns he means him and the false prophet after him. And in speaking of "horns like a lamb," he means that he will make himself like the Son of God, and set himself forward as king. And the terms, "it spoke like a dragon," mean that he is a deceiver, and not truthful

Hippolytus of Rome (c. 170 – c. 236) held that the Antichrist would come from the tribe of Dan and would rebuild the Jewish temple on the Temple Mount

Trump to discuss Temple Mount with ambassador to Israel

She gets mad and walks away, because it does not fit her narrative. Most of her quotes are from the Old Testament, so she and people like her are not Christians with a capital "C".

I think that I read somewhere that right-wing and Evangelical groups have already been plotting who might likely succeed RGB if something happens to her before Trump leaves office. And McConnell has already announced that he's going to ignore his own "rule" about not confirming a new Justice if a SCOTUS Justice leaves or retires next year during Election Year (because, of course, he's McConnell and that's what he does)

One of the rabbis who did the conversion asked me if I thought it was a good idea becoming Jewish "in these times." My answer was, "When is it ever a good time to be Jewish?" I think that scored me some points because they went ahead with conversion.

But it isn't until you really become Jewish and get involved with a community that you realize just how Christian this country really is. They say it isn't, but it definitely is.

These are sick individuals, regardless of what they claim to believe.

My father grew up in a Southern Baptist church, beleived all Christian valuestaught him, and became the first conscientious objector from theState in which he grew up in because for him it was inconceivable that Christ and the God he was taught about would ask him to pick up a gun and kill another human being. 42. New Christians are not about god

They are about justifying their own bigotry, in the name of god. If there was a god it would have surely made itself visible. In the absence of a god these people are just facist.

46. May I suggest contacting as many media sources as you can think of with this email?

Local and nationwide?

The hate this administration is fostering in others is a legitimate news story. Sometimes people like this will respond to public shaming. Either way, more should be made aware of what is happening.

Can you share the content of the email with us and possibly any of the entities it came from?

I lay no claim to moral superiority nor do I invoke anybody's god to act on my behalf.

53. Comedian/theologian Stephen Colbert said this:

“If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it.”

I can't think of a better way to put it.

54. These RW email chains are occult, hidden, and spread

their messages along chains of friends and acquaintances to millions around the nation every day. And the media almost never mention them. Guess they think they're not cool because older people use them, but then these older people also vote in much higher percentages than young ones.

why don't we write non-christians without quotes?

These are not Christians. They're part of Satan's army. WE have to accept that and move on.

to be fair, i shed zero tears when Scalia died (though i wasn't actively "praying" for him to die). he was a menace to society. unfortunately we found out the hard way that mcconnell is an even LARGER menace

Since no God worth his or her salt would ever listen to these "prayers", the hopeful hatemongers could just shift gears and invest in a voodoo doll kit or two. And while they're at it, add snake handling to their repertoire, the more nasty and venomous the better!
