Tucker Carlson guest: "Ilhan Omar would be perfect as a member of the KKK."

https://www.thedailybeast.com/tucker-carlson-guest-ilhan-omar-would-be-in-the-kkk-if-she-werent-in-congress-3?ref=home

A night after Fox News host Tucker Carlson sparked widespread outrage for claiming Somalia-born congresswoman Ilhan Omar is “living proof” that America’s immigration laws are “dangerous,” a guest of his claimed the Muslim lawmaker would be a white supremacist if she weren’t in Congress.

Lawfare Project founder Brooke Goldstein, who describes herself as a human rights lawyer, was responding to Carlson’s criticism of Omar’s stance on Israel when she made the comments.

“Her remarks on Israel reveal something perhaps about what she believes about the world,” Carlson said. “What do you think those remarks tell us?”

Goldstein immediately went off.

“First of all, this is a woman who called you a white supremacist and the irony there is that if she wasn’t a member of Congress, she would be a member of the KKK,” she said.

Many on social media were quick to question how a progressive Somalian-American Muslim woman could join the Ku Klux Klan (or be welcomed by the white supremacist group).

2. So, he'll be proposing her for membership?

Is he going to bring her name up when he attends his next meeting?

6. Nope, not your imagination.

This is a perfect example, regarding the Metric System, of all things;

"This weird, utopian, inelegant, creepy system that we alone have resisted".....

Yeah...he's THAT fucking stupid.

Carlson, like the man he replaced and is trying to emulate, is qualified by his education to be a High School History teacher, AT BEST.

Of course, his daddy married rather well after his biological mother buggered off, so now he has the Swanson Frozen Foods fortune hanging around, ready to be squandered.

So he's a multi-millionaire, preppy douchebag who thinks people should actually pay attention to his dopey bullshit.

8. I disagree. I had a RWNJ high school history teacher. She did inspire me though.

12. What is it you disagree with?

That his education qualifies him to be a teacher and not much else? Because that's pretty much what he has; A BA in History from Trinity College.

10. There's that saying, "Crazy like a fox"

Carlson and the other RWNJ's on Fox News want to make sure we're talking about fringe characters in the Democratic Party, and not any of the people who are actually running for the Democratic presidential nomination.

We need to stop feeding that beast.

17. I don't think discussing Carlson's idiocy is feeding any beast.

Nor do I think that the discussion take away from any other discussions re: the primaries or the general in any meaningful or objective means.

4. Projection is a constant GOP Propaganda technique.

Antifa are the actual fascists, Democrats are the real racists, etc.

They do it because it works. the goal isn't to be correct, it's to confuse the issue, muddy the waters, change the topic.

5. Question here in the back

Would Tucker Carlson or Brooke Goldstein consider membership in the KKK a negative or a positive? It's not clear from the context of, well, Carlson's entire existence.

To be Media Matters' Misinformer of The Year. I give him an A for effort, and an F for decency.
