Men again telling women what to think -- about ANN!

Across the political spectrum, from lib to pug, men are telling America that women everywhere, from all walks of life, like and admire Ann Romney and find her warm, authentic, admirable, and the cat's meow.

From MSNBC to FOX, men are saying how much American women LIKE HER and find her appealing.

I think....especially in the case of older white pundits....this means that THEY like her and appreciate the corporate wife aspect.

But don't be telling us women what we feel and think, guys!!

And since I'm an old white woman who is tired of privileged white men and misogynist men of any colour or creed, they can go cheney themselves.

That is disgraceful behavior of a man with three daughters and a wife. I don't care if you believe you support women, you never call a woman a "fucking slut" or a "pussy". That is ignorant beyond belief. I disagree with many of the republican positions, but I will always disagree respectfully. You don't. Please, especially with a high school daughter, never refer to any woman like that. She isn't a sex object, no woman is and ever should be.

These are fabulous links. As a high schooler myself, it's very apparent the lack of respect many girls my age have for themselves. I would love to work someday on helping young girls achieve that self confidence they deserve. Girls need to know they are worth more than just a man's entertainment.

The MSNBC male commentators complimented her immediately. This trend apparently continued across the board today. On NPR, a male commentator gave her speech an A+.

Women commentators haven't said much of anything, as far as I can see. Of course, I never went over to Fox news.

Are they all afraid to be tarred and feathered like Hillary Rosen was?

My impression was that Ann's speech was condescendingly smug and self-satisfied. She may have had the "adventure" of living "poor" when she was a newlywed; but she she also had a guarantee that IT WOULDN'T LAST!!!!

Doubt that the "poor" newlyweds were laden with debt. Their parents were probably paying for everything, and would have continued to do so if necessary. Not to mention, the probability of trust funds.

merely cashed in a few of their stocks, ones that Mitt's parents had given him. Her idea of roughing it is that they didn't entertain and they had to cash in some of their stocks.

they could always be bailed out in a heartbeat.

They knew it was temporary. She never mentioned having to go out and work as a waitress or something to put food on the table, while her husband was in school.

Schooling was bought and paid for by parents, no debt to worry about, and rent, etc. was also made possible by more family money.

As a women, regardless of my political position I find your treatment of Ann deplorable. I fully support women. I may not agree with her husbands positions or her own, but I would never call her such things as a slut or insinuate she was a cunt. That is disgusting. How can you? Man or women, married or not you never call a women those things. I do not care if she has been with one man or a hundred. By saying those thing you're bringing yourself to Rush Limbaugh's level. Who would want to associate their behavior with that racist, sexist, and homophobic pig? You may have a difference of opinion on the way she conducts herself or beliefs but you will disagree respectfully.

That's exactly what she was the other night; her speech was well-delivered, she was enthusastic, but there was no feeling in it - she was not sincere.

And I got sick and tired of the labels - wife, mother....blah blah blah.

I'm a woman, and I'm a hell of a lot more than that. I have an accomplished career, I'm an artist....many other things.
