Trump's Mar-a-Lago hosting golf tournament for unregistered charity with strippers as 'caddy girls'

Published 1 min ago on July 9, 2019 By Sarah K. Burris

President Donald Trump’s Palm Beach resort is forgetting about family values and holding a stripper-fueled golf tournament at Mar-a-Lago on Saturday.

Washington Post reporter David Fahrenthold broke the news Tuesday that a Miami-area strip club will allow golfers to pay to buy a dancer to serve as a “caddy girl” while they golf.

The “Shadow All Star Tournament” is hosted by a club called Shadow Cabaret in Hialeah, an area northwest of downtown Miami.

“The Trump name and family crest are displayed prominently in the strip club’s advertising materials, which offer golfers the ‘caddy girl of your choice,'” Fahrenthold observed.

3. I don't have a problem with the concept itself.

But it’s unseemly for the “President” to attach his name to it. But that’s where we are.

Every day I wake up in disbelief that all of this is really happening.

12. trump has a family crest ....

that's funny. He thinks he's royalty. His body does look like Henry VIII from portraits of him in his later years.

for a Trump family crest.

Right to bear arms? Trump accused of plagiarising family crest
By Joel Gunter
BBC News, Washington DC
31 May 2017

Mr Trump's heraldic arms is a near-identical copy of one registered in 1939 by Joseph Edward Davies, the New York Times reported. The copy, printed on everything from golf carts to socks, made a single small change: where the original said "Integritas", now it says "Trump".

Davies was an American diplomat and husband to Marjorie Merriweather Post, who built the Mar-a-Lago resort that now belongs to the president, and where presumably he first saw the coat of arms. The similarity was spotted by Davies' grandson, former US senator Joseph Tydings, on a visit to the resort. He told the Times he had not given permission to the Trump Organization to use the arms.

It drew the attention of heraldic officials in Scotland when Mr Trump attempted to brand a new golf course in Aberdeen with the adulterated arms. They noticed that he hadn't registered it with the Court of the Lord Lyon, which approves all applications for arms and has authority to litigate against anyone using a design improperly.

An application to trademark the Trump copy with the College of Arms, the authority for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, was rejected after the college noted that the design had been lifted from an existing coat of arms. The motto, changed by the Trump organisation, does not technically form part of the design, making the two identical in the eyes of the authorities.

21. Well, yes, he adapted a crest from an existing coat of arms.

It's like plagiarizing. How many words changed makes it not plagiarized? How many details need to be changed to pass the College of Arms?

Made up, stolen, plagiarized, adulterated, adapted...the point is there never was a Trump family crest until he attempted to trademark one.

He is--and never will be anything else other than--a common sack of orange $hit.

19. Ok...a couple of things...1st, this isn't being hosted by or at Mar-A-Lago

The article you linked says this is at the Doral, which is 74 miles south of his place on Palm Beach.

2nd, THERE IS NO GOLF COURSE AT MAR-A-LAGO!!!

The nearest Trump course is 3 miles away, just south of the WPB airport.

Sorry, but I used to live down there and these kinds of misrepresentations chap my hide! Saying West Palm Beach is close to where the Doral is located is like saying Baltimore is right down the block from Washington DC
