BBC: Republican Rick Santorum - 'NHS devastated Britain'

What a moron!

From BBC Newnight:

Rick Santorum has lost the first battle in the fight to be the Republican candidate for the White House, the Iowa caucuses, to Mitt Romney by just eight votes.

Mr Santorum has been an outspoken critic of President Barack Obama's healthcare programme and has said that similar policies brought about the collapse of the British Empire.

Here Newsnight's Peter Marshall challenges Mr Santorum on what he meant by that statement.

how anyone can ever slam the need to provide access to EVERYONE for healthcare is just beyond me. Santorum tends to speak out of his butt often and here is just one more example.

His rants and his foolish ideas cost him his senate seat! this is his last hope for fame and fortune! but as he spins that wheel of fortune others are seeing him for what he is !

When are their talking points going to be turned against them by calling it what they are unAmerican!
The Southern States are still fighting the Civil War for Gawd's Sake! When are loyal patriotic citizens going to wake up and see it for what it is and call them on it.
Get me started on the Racism...
