Found on Facebook (Not a meme): Open Letter to My Trump Supporting Family
[link:http://mydaughtersarmy.org/open-letter-to-my-trump-supporting-family/?fbclid=IwAR3ay5aQevuaNdGT8KTJ2fk9ZXq9Sdm5tv-ylVGjxP8KlnEhJMa06EVo9ag|
A few excerpts, but the whole thing is pretty worthwhile: On the morning of November 9, 2016, the America I knew and loved died. Or rather, I woke that day to discover that it never really existed in the first place. Up until November 8, 2016, I genuinely believed that, despite its myriad shortcomings, America was still the country that stood up to bullies. It valued intellect and scientific discovery. Americans may have disagreed on specific policies, but still had faith that public servants genuinely had the country’s best interests at heart. Immigration built this country. And we should always, always protect the innocent and welcome those fleeing poverty, war, or famine with open arms. But America didn’t elect a leader who represents any of those principles. America didn’t elect a leader with any principles. And you did that. You can say you held your nose and voted for the “lesser of two evils,” or that you only voted for Trump because you knew he’d further the policies with which you agreed, even if you found him personally detestable. But when you and all of the other Trump voters pulled that lever, you weren’t just selecting your preferred presidential candidate. You were selecting what America was. And it is nothing like the America I grew up believing in. To say that your choice and the result it brought about triggered an existential crisis would be an understatement. My whole life, I’d been an unquestioning, patriotic servant of America because of what I’d believed it stood for. But in a single night, everything it stood for was revealed as a fraud. Everything I stood for was a fraud. So now, two and half years into the alternative reality, I’ve come to grips that this isn’t some insane nightmare. This is reality. And seeing how Trump supporters (yourselves included) have behaved since then, I really was a fool for ever believing America stood for anything else.

1. Turns your stomach to read some of the comments posted
in response to the letter at the link.
The hate--and free expression of it--that has been normalized by Trump is disgusting. |

2. It proves the truth of what the
guy wrote.
Trump people are horrible, their masks have been torn off and they take pride in exposing their real faces. The trick will be remembering what they are once they try to put the masks back on. I will not forget. I don't think I'll be able to forgive either. |

10. Hateful bullies
Those comments were disgusting, threatening, and insulting. And sooooo ignorant. And the most thin-skinned snowflakes imaginable.

3. The coup of 12/12/2000 was that point for me
Probably when we didn't indict Nixon was the real turning point.
My weekly column deals with this subject this week. http://eureka.news/free-parking-74/ |

4. I no longer speak to the man who was my best friend since 8th grade (I'm 51) and best man at my wedd
He has gone from a conservative to an open racist, although he doesn't concider himself a racist. Then again the doesn't concider Trump a racist either. During the 2016 primaries he supported Ted Cruz and was very critical of Trump when he acted like he didn't know who David Duke was. Now he lives on a steady diet of Kool Aid.

6. It's amazing (in a bad way) what Trump has done to this country, especially to families and other
close relationships. I suppose these people have always had this in them, but in some ways I feel that he has led them astray. He has exploited their weaknesses and turned them to the dark side. It's just really sad.

7. trump didn't do it. he's just the front man for limbaugh and the few hundred ignorant
racist assholes on 1500 think tank-scripted and coordinated radio stations, with fox doing the cartoon cliff notes. they've been doing the exact same shit, selling the exact same shit, for 30 years to 50 mil a week while the left and dems ignored it. now we're paying the price and the analysts still have no clue.
trump studied talk radio in 2014 to coordinate it all with russian trolls. the kremlin's probably been using talk radio since about 2008, when manafort was mccain's cochair and limbaugh (trump's friend and neighbor) wouldn't support mccain (a disaster) until minutes after mccain announce palin for VP (who was being courted by russian oil and gas oligarchs). since dems continue to blame social media, economic and astrological cycles, etc for this and ignore talk radio, even tho it would be easy to destroy, our only hope is probably when the country finds out from mueller that one of the investigations barr killed was about russian use of talk radio. but dems won't ask! |

13. They don't have much of a legitimate leg to stand on, do they.
I guess it’s appropriate, though. For an ILLEGITIMATE so-called pResident.
