Boeing CEO says 737 Max troubles have resulted in 'personnel changes'
The ongoing crisis with its 737 Max has cost some employees their jobs with Boeing.
Company CEO Dennis Muilenburg acknowledged those "personnel changes" on Wednesday as part of wide-ranging interview at the Aspen Ideas Festival with Mike Allen, co-founder and executive director of Axios.
Im not going to go into numbers or names, Muilenburg said. But know that we have a commitment to excellence in our company in all of its dimensions. These accidents
the fruitful response to these is not to spend time trying to find fault or attribute that to any individuals. They are a time where we come together, where we gain understanding. We learn together and we focus on improvements. My job as a leader is to help create that culture where we are continuously improving.
The Max has been grounded around the world since March following two deadly crashes of the jet in five months.
The full interview, in which Muilenburg also said that there are ongoing compensation discussions with airline customers over the Max, is available here.
