1. It is days like this that make me start wondering if I can stand Canadian winters

I know it is naive to assume that Canada will take me but it doesn't stop me from wondering.

I know it is unpatriotic to think that way but our Democracy is broken in a way that discounts our opinion at every step of the game.

4. I've been trying to find a way to leave this country for awhile now.

Sadly, it's nearly impossible. Unless you're in a highly skilled profession or rich, you're unlikely to be able to go anywhere.

6. I am probably better off than most

I work for a Canadian company in a professional field (engineering) so it is conceivable. I also have some assets that would not make me a burden to them. Still, I know it would not be a given.
