But the problem in America's decay (yes, it has become decadent), is not in a lack of moral imagery and metaphors. It's in the structure of an entertainment society. We sit in chairs at home, drink a bunch of crap and eat a bunch of crap. We don't circulate meaningfully with other humans. We lack participation in social ritual and face to face dialogue.
