the Boehner quote

The Right Wing does plenty of race baiting but I don't see how this is it. Some people think it is. Am I missing something? My question for the poll is...
Is this race baiting?

(10,960 posts)To my not-young white male liberal mind the story kept boiling down the hostility an outsider faces in a working class bar, and the image of a bunch of white guys tossing the black guy out of the bar for being an outsider/different.
I found it menacing in character.

(18,530 posts)I don't believe that Boner is necessarily racist and I don't think he said this to appear to be. What I believe is that they know damn well that the imagery of someone physically removing a black man from office will appeal to racist white people and they want those votes. I think they intentionally worded it this way; cynical, not racist.
