(1,898 posts)By the way, government employees are REQUIRED to report foreign influence. I realize that all DUers are aware of this but had to add it.

if you are a foreign power and you have something shady on any Democrat running for office, we promise not to report it to the FBI.
I wonder sometimes if its worth always not only being the "good guy" who plays by the rules, but going out of your way to crow about it. So that, even now if some more Democratic friendly politician from another country has some truly damning information on Trump.....proof of money laundering, or rape, or child porn, something that would actually hurt him, they'd turn their noses up at it. And rather have Trump for four more years than break a rule.
If I could advise them , I'd recommend they stay silent on this one issue. And then accept any dirt offered by foreign sources themselves. Fight fire with fire. Because I am sure there must be stories where Trump has tried to pay off officials to build a hotel or some other vanity project in another country. Why paint ourselves into a ethical corner so quickly?

(37,648 posts)I never thought I'd see this sort of thing in America. The POTUS saying that "sure, why not? Anyone would" talk to a foreign power who calls to give dirt on an opponent.

(2,260 posts)and Mr. Rob Reiner are the only reasons I lasted as long as I did on Twitter. Both their posts are must see's imo. Mr. Reiners are much more
angry maybe is the word I'm looking for while Mr. Lieu uses a more savagely humorous approach but they both make their points crystal clear.
I'm totally off Twitter now for
4 or 5 months I suppose and have been off facebook for many years and am much more calm lol. I highly recommend either taking a break from "social media" or ditching it completely btw. You won't be sorry.

The HTTP 403 Forbidden client error status response code indicates that the server understood the request but refuses to authorize it.
This status is similar to 401, but in this case, re-authenticating will make no difference. The access is permanently forbidden and tied to the application logic, such as insufficient rights to a resource.
