1. Obviously it's despicable, and I projected this would be the fate of the rounded up 'illegals'

as well as incarcerated folks since pretty much day 1 of the Trump Admin ... BUT ... it's not being marketed to foreign companies, it's being marketed to American companies.

That's what "establish/REshore/expand operations Stateside" with "offshore cost savings" means. I.E., "US Companies, don't move to China (or come back from there), and use Cheap Federal Slave Labor here instead, for about the same price".

I mean, they MAY be marketing to foreign companies as well, but that's not what this blurb is saying.

Also ... DoJ 'corporation'? That in itself is a highly disturbing concept.

It's overall sickening, no question.

If this catches on, you can bet we'll have us some Federal Debtors Prisons pretty damn soon.

6. A Public/Private Partnership Specializing In Exploitation And Indenture

To think, with his American Jobs Act, President Obama proposed a Public/Private partnership to rebuild our nation's infrastructure with union jobs.

5. the sad truth is

not merely that there are many in the states of the "old South" that would gladly have slavery back, but that many in the north would gladly expand the operation. Who knows what besides the obvious is happening?

7. Despicable But Not Surprising! Here In Florida, We Have The Model For The Nation

As horrific as this advertisement is, things are worse on the chain gangs of Florida. As state policy, we compel prisoners to work and, should they refuse, they are tossed in solitary, denied medical care, or worse.

While we're on the subject, it is an open secret that most tomatoes harvested in Florida are picked by slaves, yes, actual slaves, earning $1 a day if they're lucky. Many aren't paid at all, if you can call $1 a paycheck.

8. Slavery is not about not getting paid.

Slaves have frequently been paid throughout history. Slavery is about not being allowed to quit.
