Disabled man in Dallas made homeless.

One of the biggest misconceptions about homeless people is the public believes people on the streets are homeless by choice. The leading cause of homelessness is poverty and lack of affordable housing.

1. THIS is a disgrace.

Unfortunately, many of us face the same fate, unless this country finally wakes up. "Best healthcare in the world" Yeah, right if you have the $$$$. Where is Gregg Abbott on this? He is in a wheelchair, but taxpayers pay his health insurance. The deadwood in DC are all covered with health insurance. It is long past time for this country to install a healthcare system, equivalent to other CIVILIZED countries. Instead of giving the Pentagon too much each year, cut back and look at Universal Healthcare. Too much waste in DC. I hope help comes soon for this gentleman. It is a disgrace.

2. Capitalism is a very inefficient economic system

It creates excess and shortage. Abandon homes rotting and held by people who don't need them. Alongside homeless people in desperate need of homes.

Using capitalism to make money off necessities like food, water, shelter and medical care is a recipe for suffering. It will arbitrarily create excesses and shortages that are horrific. Because with necessities, people die without them.
