She is doing a special report on the new regulations put in place by the state health director that require that a woman must have a medically unnecessary vaginal exam when she goes to the clinic to sign the consent forms for an abortion. The doctors are very upset. One actually called it sexual assault.

By 'we', I mean medical providers. I don't live in Missouri, so I don't have to do that shit.

I'm content to fly over Missouri for the rest of my life. If they don't like being callled 'flyover country', then they can get their shit together and join the 21st fucking Century...

without a license and substituting their judgment for the patient's physician-- was an absolute gutless move. It was a total dereliction, given their purpose is to advocate on behalf of the profession. Had their own lobbying efforts started to push back decades ago, we might well not be here with some of this crap.

some of those are probably the loudest in the state and they all support these shit for brains

protests at the uni of missou to get them to look for apolitical alternatives to broadcast sports on will freak out the local GOP

media will notice

whatever the uni does, advertisers will head for the hills

some of those stations will have to change programming from RW anti choice bullshit to anything else

all the rw radio stations in the state will lose advertisers

state and national GOP will freak out

media will notice

others of the 88 universties supporting 260 limbaugh stations will be shamed into following

and all those local blowhards on those stations are weighing in on this in support of republican misogynists and they can be recorded by internet and with AI assisted transcription like at sonix.ai fast for $5/hr and all their advertisers and their contact info can be listed with little listening required with the process described at republiconradio.org

those stations have played a huge part in electing these shit-for-brains and a small number of people anywhere can destroy that propaganda operation

and so on

fundamental right a person has, the right to control their own body, the rest of their rights are easy.

Look at the republican's comments about rape over the years. Remember when they tried to redefine rape? They know if they can keep power, they will succeed. They will legislate rape out of existence. They are already trying to make all forms of birth control illegal. They also have given Dr's permission to lie to women about their pregnancies if they believe the woman might opt for an abortion as a result.

How do laws like this affect medically necessary abortions to save a mother's life? I can tell you it is torture. I had a pregnancy go horribly wrong at about 14/16 weeks. The Dr recommended an abortion to prevent not only my life being at risk, but to ensure that I could get pregnant again and carry to term if I chose to. After a consultation with her, My husband and I agreed.

My state has the 24 hr waiting period and the internal ultrasound law. Because my life was not in immediate jeopardy, I had to follow the law. So there I was, with the worst news I could get, in tears going to a clinic that provided internal ultrasounds. I had to agree to a medically unnecessary procedure. Mandatory rape. Trying to hold back tears. It hurt so bad I almost flew off the table and screamed in pain. I was now crying in pain.

The cherry on top for the misogynist assholes who made the law...I got to go home and wait 24 hours. Trying to mourn our loss while agonizing if those 24 hours of waiting would bring doom on my life. If my body would reject the fetus and sepsis set in. Thankfully not, exactly 24 hours later I was undergoing the procedure.

I have a special kind of hate for the people who pass laws like this. I don't want them to rot in Hell, I want them to rot on Earth.

This story needs to go mainstream. Fucking asshole republicans implemented this requirement very quietly with no fanfare. Hopefully when people learn what's going on there will be a revolt, which would be appropriate as this situation is totally revolting.

It happens in every culture. In every religion. India is horrible. The muslims are horrible. Look at how the Saudis treat women,? It was the men who came up with the religion in the first place.

Right wing religious fanatics are bad but that isn't true of the progressive protestant churches.
