"SNIP.....

British Labour Party politician Andrew Adonis, a member of Parliament, on Tuesday asserted that President Donald Trump likely “killed off” the “Brexit” plan to split Britain from the European Union.

At a press conference with British Prime Minister Teresa May, Trump declared that the United Kingdom’s National Health Service is “on the table” as Brexit negotiations continue.

Trump’s remarks came after U.S. ambassador to the U.K. Woody Johnson told BBC that the Trump administration would like to see U.S. corporations making money off of British national health care.

“Trump literally said in his press conference that the NHS is ‘on the table’ in a trade deal with the U.S.,” Adonis wrote on Twitter.

Hopefully this will teach the brexit britains that they are safer in the European Union with european values.

3. WTF is Trump to say what Britain will do with their NHS?

Did he put it on the table, in other words lie through his fn teeth, or has the British gov't actually put it on the table.

...they were "serious" about a US trade agreement. I can't see that flying with the UK public.

because he and his party didn't support NHS. I can't imagine they will be any more receptive to tRump and his vile band of criminal profiteers.

If you want to buy cars from us, you have to give up your health care system.

No thanks, we'll buy German cars.

think that they can export our money gouging healthcare debacle of a system to a foreign ally which has solved their healthcare problem decades ago.

Hope the Brits tell him to kiss their ass.

39. The weak British leaders have the country in a fine pickle.

Trump is the type of person that if he saw a man dying of thirst, he would raise his bottled water price 6x, that is just how that mofo has seemed to live his life.

Britain is almost surely destined to go crawling back to the EU, or praying that Trump is defeated in 2020 and they can then deal with a sane USA leader.

one statement: "NHS is on the table" meaning the scheme is to privatize their NHS and put in the hands of US health insurers.

Lord Adonis is very pro remain. I agree with him on this, but let us see how it pans out. He is half right half hopeful right now. My analysis is the same, but hell, these are very interesting times and what should be may not be.

give it back to Britain during negotiations getting other stuff in the trade. You know how he undid Obama's dreamer act to he could offer it back to democrats in negotiations on immigration reform.

Or threatens to privatize Social Security and Medicare, replace our public schools with for-profit corporate schools, privatize our national parks and give away out public lands to extractive energy interests, and any of the other shitty things these greedy, blood-sucking leeches regularly do.

saying he thinks Britain needs to go to an insurance based system like the US. Of course, he couched it as getting the government out of people's healthcare decisions. I just hope that there aren't enough gullible people in the country to believe it.

I hate to say it, but good. I think Brexit was and is a big mistake so if pumpkin head has
any influence on it, good. Frankly, I doubt very much what dribbles out of his pie hole in his big orange head, has any real effect on what the Brits do.

43. I was hoping this might be the effect... lots of Brits were conned

into voting FOR Brexit because they were told that the money the country would no longer have to use to stay in the EU could be used to improved the NHS. Threaten the NHS and it is possible that public pressure could halt the exit.

People do disappoint when they can’t think any further than a slogan or one consequence that sounds good for them in the short run. Still they were lied to consistently and effectively.

The day after Brexit passed one of the leaders was asked about using the funds for NHS and he immediately replied that no one had any intentions of doing anything like that.
