I wonder. There's a new case in Texas just announced today, which brings the Texas total up to 4, I believe. Doing a search on Google, I also see multiple black transgender women murdered in Florida in 2018, and others in other states, including New Mexico, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and South Carolina in 2018 and 2019.
This seems very strange to me. Perhaps a truck driver or someone else who travels regularly is carrying out these otherwise unrelated murders of transgender women of color.
Here's a story with a list of victims. It just seems like more than a coincidence to me, somehow.

snip-..."In an announcement following Bookers death, the DPD warned the public of similarities between her killing and the two other violent attacks targeting trans women in recent months, although it has not at this time publicly established a formal connection between them. All four recent cases remain open and unsolved."
There have been many unsolved deaths of transgender women.

(146,192 posts)There just aren't that many, compared to other identifiable population segments. The numbers seem too high to me, by a lot.
It seems very strange.
