(5,705 posts)They want their hand outs, but they will call you a taker, if you put your hand out.
The hypocrisy never ceases in the Republican Party.

(58,629 posts)In the final analysis, Amash is still a Libertarian, the worst form of conservative.
Celerity
(43,270 posts)True libertarians are usually pro-choice (or at least totally against the government getting involved), are pro-privacy, anti war on drugs, and usually against wars of empire. They are absolutely rotten on other issues, but fundies are usually on the wrong side of all those previous issues.
we can do it

(13,868 posts)He certainly has never claimed to be a moderate. He pointed out to his constituents that he has voted for less spending than any other House member. That means less for healthcare, public safety, infrastructure, etc. He was elected as a Tea Party fanatic.
Give him the tiniest credit possible for at least recognizing that Trump is both a criminal and a reckless spender.

(13,868 posts)The much smaller state of S.C. has 3. We win the race to the bottom.
But all three are fiscal conservatives, meaning they are not in favor of spending unless 1) its in their district, or 2) it directly helps their re-election.
