"No man is above the law."

I'm almost 78 years old.
(That's OLD.)

All my life I've heard politicians and jurists spout that.
"The LAW is the great leveler."
"All men are equal under the LAW."

I used to believe that.
It sure sounded good.
It sounded right.

And then I got older.
And watched and saw.
If you are wealthy, you get a different brand of justice than if you are poor.
If you are black, or Hispanic, or just any 'other', you get a different brand of justice than if you are lily white.

And then this...this...abomination somehow gained the presidency, with a BIG assist from Russia.
He's been a provable con man and liar and cheater and welsher all his life.
And we are now told that HE is above the law.

I. DON'T. BUY. IT.
Bullshit.
Impeach ain't good enough and won't pass the senate anyway.
I want this asshole INDICTED by a grand jury in the state of New York.

Thanks for the vent.

"please allow me to introduce myself"

Believe it or not, I had a top-secret clearance, in the U.S. Navy - to hunt dangerous, nuclear submarines of the USSR - from a P-3 Orion, during Vietnam and understand the concept of NEED TO KNOW! Every intelligence agent will evoke the "NEED TO KNOW" necessity, when these political clowns (aka traitors, Trump appointed to head the U.S. intelligence agencies) attempt to force them to reveal secrets.

Also, believe it or not, long after my military service, I rented from a C.I.A. agent, who despised "W" Bush. He retired the equivalent of Colonial (Captain in the Navy.) We'd sit by the back-door of his mansion, where I rented the butler's quarters and drink beer. I was working at a radio station, at the time; but I've written and edited copy for other media companies. At the time "W" was president and my land-lord and friend also told me that if Bush reactivated him, he would go back to Guantanamo Bay. He served, during the Bay of Pigs invasion. In many ways, the CIA resembles the KGB, or whatever Putin calls them now. "You can take the agent out of the CIA, but you can't take the CIA out of the agent."

Please allow me to introduce myself.

Essentially, Trump double-crossed Putin, by not keeping his word. Now, the fool has double-crossed China, the CIA, and other dangerous agencies, which will obtain retribution: Wait until retired intelligence agents begin criticizing the Criminal-In-Chief, on international media, right before his reelection attempt.

The link leads to a Youtube video of a Rolling Stones performance, which was not at all typical. Mick Jagger decided to pay the Hell's Angels (to conduct security) in beer! His poor decision caused serious consequences, including deaths at the Altamont Festival, in 1969.

"president for life"....hell, congress can't even get a subpoena enforced.

Apparently, the only thing holding our system together until now has been the idea that laws are a thing.

And that idea is at an end.

for some people there are literally no laws. The worst thing that has ever happened to him is that he had to pay a fine.

a fine.

I'm very frustrated that the law only applies to some and not to others. Was with W and Cheney too.

he's been committing during his entire adult life we wouldn't be in this situation. In fact, if all those many rich dicks that have been committing white collar crimes been prosecuted like they should have been we would not have this ultra rich privileged class having so much influence on our laws.

White collar crime pays...bigly.
