Hundreds protest outside Homestead detention center on Mother’s Day

More than 300 people flooded the streets Sunday outside the Homestead detention center for migrant children.

The Homestead shelter, the only facility for migrant children operated by a for-profit [highly profitable] corporation, has been shrouded in secrecy and cloaked in controversy from the moment it was reactivated in February 2018.

Lawmakers scornful of President Donald Trump’s immigration policies have been blocked from visiting. Because it sits on federal land, Florida’s child welfare agency is barred from investigating allegations of abuse.

A similar detention camp was opened in Texas. A Christian agency managed the child concentration camp, until they saw exactly what they would be held responsible for running...

These type camps are a paradise for child molesters. Be sure and discuss this reality with ANY Trump supporters that you know!

neighbor we've been toward the rest of the Americas. They've been visibly pissed about our policies and practices for over a century and don't mind showing their support for our "detainees."

I hope Gov DeSantis gets involved.

The Angel

The Angel sheds tears as she sings
A song so sad that it stings
The children were taken
