In her just-ended press conference, Pelosi delivered two wowzas about Trump.

Pelosi suggested that the Trump family and staff members should stage an intervention with the President. A bit later, she suggested that he consider taking a leave of absence.

Expect a Trump twitter tirade any hour now. She so knows how to play him.

Diplomacy and statesmanship on the level of Churchill. She's so grounded, they don't know what to do with her--even some Democrats, too.

But for sure, she brings results and that is what counts. She's the leader of Democrats we elected in 2018 to challenge the lawless Trump Administration and Republican Party.

She knows the big picture those of us can't yet see, and winning the war despite countless, distracting battles.

Section 4 of the 25th Amendment:

Section 4: Declaration by vice president and principal officers
Section 4.
Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.

without leaning towards the word impeachment but implying it. She's stressing the need to keep up the hearings and investigations, subpoenas and benefiting from favorable court ruling that educate the public about trum'p's criminal acts.

She keeps saying "we're not there" as far as articles of impeachment but IMO there is a huge, implied "yet" she leaves hanging in the air afterwards.

And I love how she threw off the mere mention of Kelly Anne Conway when a reporter asked her about Conway by saying "I'm not going to talk about her, I am the Speaker of the House and I address the President of the United States."

She could.ve just as easily continue, "not some staffer". I would've loved that too if she had.

She knows exactly how to get under Trump's skin. I'm sure the fact she's a woman makes the comments all the more scalding for Donnie. When he reacts to these comments, he frequently shoots himself in the foot, blurting out things that simply expose him all the more.

I didn't listen to yesterday's Rose Garden comments (simply can't stand listening to the fraud) but reportedly he blurted out that he did in fact talk to Don Jr about the Trump Tower meeting. This is after all the denials.

The man is a thin-skinned, walking disaster. Nancy Pelosi has his number.

Btw, I loved the Speaker's slap down of Kellyanne. She speaks to the President, not staff. LOL. Kellyanne is now claiming that Pelosi's retort is evidence of 'elitism.' Lame. Means the comment left a mark.

I don't think Pelosi bases her decisions on what Trump wants or doesn't want.

Besides, Trump definitely does not want impeachment proceedings to start. With formal impeachment investigation proceedings, Pelosi will have the legal right to access grand jury info, unlike with regular oversight hearings. We should not fall for Trump's clumsy attempt at reverse psychology. He is deathly afraid of an impeachment inquiry, just like he was deathly afraid of Mueller's inquiry ("This is the end of my presidency. I'm fucked." ). This time, Barr won't have control over the finished product. Pelosi will decide how the uncovered facts are presented to the American people.
