Speaker Pelosi is meeting with her entire caucus today to get a read on that very subject.
She has been preaching patience to the Democrats but most of the Democrats are tired of Trump's bullshit and total disregard for our laws. They are ready to make their case.
But, I think they are a couple of weeks away from making a decision. When they return from Memorial Day recess, they will be better prepared to choose a direction.
By then, they should be able to get a commitment from Robert Mueller to testify. That is almost a necessity before any talk of impeachment can continue. Also, there may be other Court decisions by that time? They may have the testimony of Hope Hicks and Annie Donaldson, although that is not a guarantee.
In my opinion, Speaker Pelosi will be able to persuade her caucus to wait a couple of more weeks to proceed with any talk about impeachment. They have waited for over two years - they can wait for two more weeks.
There is a lot of unrest in the ranks and Donald Trump has done nothing to quell it. He thinks it will be a political win for him. He should be very careful what he wishes for.

(137,582 posts)I'm sure they will do the same with Donaldson and Mueller.
This is across the board stonewalling.
He has a lot to fear.

(7,142 posts)I have seen in my lifetime. Why should we believe him when he says he welcomes impeachment?
He is already playing the victim card in spades with the investigation into the FBI and Democrats.

It makes me nauseous to think of how this has all been unfolding since the election theft.

(62,365 posts)The vote IS the one thing we still have to any great degree. The GOP does want to control the vote, that's why they gerrymanded districts, now falling in Federal courts all over the US.
If you think voting is useless, why are you relying on an ELECTED GOP Senate to convict Trump in an Impeachment????

(62,365 posts)them again. We are a nation of law and order, deep government is how we continue on in spite of disasters like WWll, the depression, Donald J, Trump. We are a nation of laws and order with a due process. We don't need to be any taking any short cuts to end his shit any more than we want the GOP to get away with using shit tactics because they feel the law moves too slowly.
Trump is going down. We'll vote him out. Districts will be fixed. Law and order will be restored and maintained. All of Trump's delay tactics will only delay a fair and final disposition.
The full Mueller report will come out.
Trump's tax filings will get to Congress.
Mueller will testify, as will everyone else subpoenaed.
Plenty of indictments.
And Trump will lose his election if he doesn't resign first. We just need to bury Trump and or Pence in a landslide and bring up a lot of Democrats in the down ticket elections. For Pete's sake, let's give our next President, a Democrat - whoever she or he is - the very best Congress we can.
