Trump fan struggles to cope at work

Dear Amy: I'm a Trump fan.

I just started a new job.

Every single TV at work is playing CNN. Even though FOX (three times the ratings), and MSNBC (two times the ratings) have more followers.

I knew this coming in. However, now I have heard one teammate consistently speak up against Trump.

I, like many conservatives, have a hard time rebutting him, not because of any physical reaction, but because it could hinder my position within the company.

How should I handle this situation?

They give him an answer at the linked to article but if he were to ask me my response would be "Go fucking die."

3. He should have tried being a liberal during the Iraq War.

I wasn't merely intimidated, I was in real danger of losing my job. I learned quickly to voice my views only with the two or three other liberals in the office (out of about 20 people)--and then only outside the building.

I feel for the poor guy. Right.

8. I know just how you feel. I don't worry about losing my job, but there is only one

other employee with whom I'll discuss politics. The rest are different degrees of Trumpers. They don't try to bring up political discussions anymore because I can rebut anything they say with facts.

10. That's cool (about the facts).

I couldn't even do that, because I was a government contractor, and any indication that you were against the war was tantamount to treason.

4. It's funny - I try to keep politics out of work because I live in Utah...

But everyone knows I am not a Trump supporter. As a gag gift, my co-worker brought me back a magnet from their visit to DC last year with Trump and Malania on it. I laughed. Good fun. But I've had some pretty interesting, though hardly heated, conversations with a pro-Trump co-worker of mine.

5. "Dear Amy: I'm a Trump fan."

To quote a line from one of the Anna Kendrick Hilton Hotel commercials: "That's not our problem. That's your problem. Get out of here!"

6. Here's the real problem

I, like many conservatives, have a hard time rebutting him
_

Alternate facts, false history, and fake science makes for bad rebuttals.

7. Trumpists like Peter are complete ¡SNOWFLAKES!

“How should I handle this situation?” Maybe by waking up to the fact that your idol is insane.

Honestly, I’ve never heard more whining and moaning than that of these Trumpists. Starting with their Neanderthal figurehead, the whiniest whiner of them all. Every tweet, every word is an infantile complaint, stoking hate and intolerance.

12. Hmmm, isn't showing support for an overt racist at work a hostile work environment? tia

15. Dear Petey

Suck it up you whining little snowflake! Order some of this and apply it liberally (conservatively?) prior to entering your workplace:
